September 7th to 8th: Festival Italiano

“Belmar, located at Wadsworth and Alameda in Lakewood, will host the 15th Annual Festival Italiano at Belmar on September 7 & 8, 2019. The two-day event hosts over 100,000 Italian lovers who come yearly to celebrate Italian culture and the sights, sounds, and flavors of Italy. The event emphasizes Italian culture in every aspect of the festival and reflects the premier quality consistent with the Belmar brand. This year’s festival will offer a full spectrum of events and activities for all ages; Italian food, wine, and artisan vendors; and a full schedule of authentic Italian performances and fabulous new entertainment scheduled to appear. September 15th to October 15th: National Hispanic Heritage Month

“Each year, Americans observe National Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 to October 15, by celebrating the histories, cultures and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America. The Ballpark Neighborhood is set to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Denver Oktoberfest. The event kicks off Friday, September 20 with a ceremonial tapping of the first keg at 2:00 pm. Additional activities include the popular Stein Hoisting contest, wiener dog races, keg bowling, live music, dancing and a new Sunday Brunch experience. September 27th: Firefighter Chili Cook-off

“It’s going to be a hot one on Larimer Square as hundreds of Denver firefighters representing dozens of local and national firehouses will compete with their best red and green chile recipes. The event will go until 4 pm or until the chili runs out! All proceeds go to the Colorado Muscular Dystrophy Association. $5 entrees and $1 samples. Refreshing Colorado craft beer will also be available for sale.” More Info!
